About Madrone
Great recruiting starts with knowing where great people come from.
For nearly twenty years, we've helped companies build their teams, from early-stage startups to some of the most ambitious technology companies in the world. We've placed more than 1,500 engineers and technologists at companies including Google X, Autodesk, One Medical and C3.ai.
What we learned is that the best hires rarely come from a job posting. They come from knowing who the standout engineers are before anyone else does, and understanding what would make them move. Madrone brings that same approach to IT: for managed service providers, and for companies that hire directly, without a vendor management system.
Who runs it
Jason Stomel, founder. Jason has recruited technical talent since 2007. He founded Madrone to bring the same hands-on recruiting to every role on the IT team.
Why we're called Madrone
A madrone sheds its old bark every year, in thin red sheets, and keeps growing underneath. It thrives in dry, rocky ground where other trees give up. That's the kind of IT person we look for, and the kind of firm we want to be.
